Abbey has completed a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours) at Deakin University. Abbey has developed a passion to work with young children and their families through her previous experiences and role as a Peer Mentor and Therapy Assistant at Access Your Supports. She also has interests in sensory modulation and mental health. Abbey is passionate about providing a holistic person-centred focus to empower participants to achieve their goals and participate in meaningful occupations.

Alex is an Occupational Therapist with experience in working with adults (18+ years of age) towards achieving their personal goals. Alex has a keen interest in working within the mental health sector by supporting individuals in their homes, work and the community. Alex brings a range of experience including assessment and development of graded interventions to ensure the people he works with are set up for success, as well as being provided with the relevant tools and strategies for ongoing improvement in their daily life.

Amy is passionate about working with participants to increase their independence in meaningful activities and achieving their goals. Amy prioritises a person-centred approach to build rapport and ensure therapy is meaningful for participants.

Austen
Occupational Therapist
Austen is an Occupational Therapist who specialises in working with adolescents and adults to achieve their personal and NDIS listed goals. Austen has a keen interest in working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Intellectual Disabilities. Austen has experience with SIL and SDA, Assessments, Assistive Technology as well as providing interventions to assist with increasing participants’ independent living skills. Austen strongly believes in a holistic approach and building strong therapeutic relationships to improve therapy outcomes for participants.

Georgia is an Occupational Therapist with experience supporting adolescents and adults. Georgia is passionate about empowering participants to increase their independence and achieve their goals. Georgia has experience with functional assessments, assistive technology prescription, life skills development, minor home modifications, SIL and SDA. Georgia has also facilitated the evidence-based PEERS program for young adults.

Hannah has experience working with adults and adolescents to complete functional assessments, assistive technology assessments, minor and major home modification assessments, SIL and SDA assessments as well as ongoing therapy to improve independent living skills.

Hayley
Occupational Therapist
Hayley completed her Bachelor of Occupational Therapy at Deakin University in Geelong in 2020 and has been working at Access Your Supports since. Hayley’s area of expertise is in children and early adolescences. Hayley is also a facilitator of the evidence based, spy themed, Secret Agent Society (SAS) group therapy program run for participants aged 8-12 to develop social and emotional skills. Hayley specialises in sensory profile assessments, fine and gross motor skill development, emotional regulation skills, social skills, handwriting, self-care tasks, community engagement, domestic tasks and daily routines. Hayley’s strives to enhance overall health and wellbeing through achieving participant goals.

Holly
(MATERNITY LEAVE) Occupational Therapist / Early Childhood Early Intervention Key Worker
Holly is an Occupational Therapist and Early Intervention Key Worker specialising in children under 7 years. Holly has particular interest and experience working with children with physical and intellectual disabilities, particularly equipment and assistive technology for children under 7. Over the past 7 years Holly has worked in several Special Education settings as a school-based Occupational Therapist, and also in Early Intervention, supporting young children and their families in their homes, kindergarten and the community.

Maddy completed her Bachelor of Occupational Therapy at Deakin University in 2021. She has a passion for, and a wide range of experience in supporting adolescents and young adults with developing and strengthening their independence. Maddy values collaborating with her participants and their families to determine their strengths, needs and goals, while ensuring therapy is evidence-based, engaging and tailored to the individual.

Meg is an Occupational Therapist who has completed a Master of Occupational Therapy Practice at Monash University. Meg has a range of experience providing person centred and goal-oriented assessment and intervention to children, adolescents, and adults. Meg believes in the importance of tailoring treatment plans to individuals’ unique needs, while also collaborating with families and care teams, to assist people to achieve their goals. Meg is particularly passionate about working with children and adolescents and their families to support them to build their independence and live a meaningful and fulfilled life.

Mel has recently graduated from a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy at Deakin university. Mel has a passion for working in early intervention, including school-aged children. Mel has experience from her previous role as Peer Mentor and Therapy Assistant at AYS, and previous practice education in community health, neurorehabilitation, mental health and in a primary school setting. Mel has interest in assisting younger individuals meet their goals, build skills and develop independence. Mel believes in using a holistic approach with her participants and their families.
