ABOUT ACCESS YOUR SUPPORTS
Access Your Supports is a Geelong based organisation that provides support and services to eligible participants of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). With offices in Geelong, Colac and Mildura and over 190 employees, AYS is dedicated to ensuring participants have choice and control to best assist them to achieve their NDIS
goals.

AYS Director Ralph Menchise has brought together a team of experienced professionals who are passionate about positive participant outcomes. Not only does Access Your Supports deliver quality support services and empower participants to achieve their life goals with the services available to them under the NDIS, Access Your Supports will also work closely with participants to implement a plan that will work.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Provisional Psychologist will be required to work closely with participants, families, and care teams to achieve therapeutic outcomes. The Provisional Psychologist will maintain a caseload and deliver a range of psychological assessments and interventions, including both individual and group therapies. The Provisional Psychologist will have the ability to work both autonomously, and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment to support participants in achieving their NDIS goals.

Job Purpose

  1. Delivery of psychological therapy to NDIS participants
  2. Provision of support and training to parent, carers and/or other nominated participants
  3. Support participants to achieve meaningful therapeutic outcomes and NDIS goals

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provision of psychological assessment and intervention to NDIS participants.
  • Provision of support and training to parents, carers and /or other nominated participant supports or care team members.
  • Maintain records, in the agreed format and within expected timeframes that clearly document activities undertaken and ensure all documentation is comprehensive, factual and complies with relevant legislation, professional guidelines and organisational policies.
  • Attend and participate in case conferences, team meetings, peer  supervision and team building events

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Professional qualifications in psychology and current registration as a provisional psychologist with AHPRA
  • Excellent counselling and clinical skills
  • Effective time management skills
  • The ability and initiative to work autonomously while being part of a clinical team. 
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) industry.
  • Valid Australian Drivers License
  • Cleared Victorian Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • Cleared National NDIS Worker Screen Check
